Huo Season in Ilsan: A Family Gathering Over a Delicious Chinese Course Meal
I recently visited Huo Season, a Chinese restaurant in Ilsan, with my family for a special family gathering.
We decided to try the Huo Season Course, which offers a variety of Chinese dishes served one after another. Before we knew it, we had spent two wonderful hours enjoying delicious food and catching up with each other.
The dishes were served in the proper order, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. It was a relaxing dining experience that allowed us to enjoy both the food and our time together.
Conveniently Located on the Second Floor of Goyang Aram Nuri
Huo Season is located on the second floor of Goyang Aram Nuri.
When choosing a restaurant for a family gathering, the food is important, but convenient parking is another factor I always consider. Especially when several family members are meeting up, easy parking makes the whole experience much more comfortable.
Fortunately, parking at the Aram Nuri building was very convenient. We were able to park without much trouble, which made the start of our visit stress-free.
The restaurant was also easy to find inside the building, making it a convenient location for a family meal.
The Huo Season Course: A Great Choice for a Family Gathering
For our meal, we ordered the Huo Season Course.
One of the best things about a course meal is that you can enjoy a variety of dishes instead of having to choose just one or two. This makes it a great option for family gatherings, where everyone can share different flavors and enjoy a more complete dining experience.
The course included the following dishes:
- Four-Style Chilled Appetizer
- Seasonal Soup
- Braised Shark Fin
- Shrimp with Mango Cream Sauce
- Sweet and Sour Pork
- Stir-Fried Pork with Chili Peppers
- A choice of Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong, or Fried Rice
- Dessert
I particularly liked that the dishes were served one at a time in the proper order rather than all at once. We could enjoy each dish at a comfortable pace before moving on to the next.
Starting with the Chilled Appetizer and Seasonal Soup
The first dish was the four-style chilled appetizer.
It was a nice way to start the meal and awaken our appetites before the main dishes arrived. Sitting around the table with my family and sharing different dishes made the beginning of the meal feel extra special.
The seasonal soup followed, adding a warm and comforting touch to the start of our course.
One of the fun things about a course meal is anticipating what will arrive next. Since each dish was served in sequence, we could enjoy the food while chatting comfortably with one another.
Braised Shark Fin: A Special Course Dish
Next came the braised shark fin.
This is not the kind of dish we usually eat at home, so it felt special to experience it as part of a Chinese course meal.
When dining with family, we often tend to choose familiar dishes. However, ordering a course meal gave us the opportunity to try a wider variety of Chinese cuisine.
As each new dish arrived, we sampled it together and continued our conversations. The meal naturally became a leisurely and enjoyable experience.
Mango Cream Shrimp and Sweet and Sour Pork
Shrimp and sweet and sour pork are classic favorites at Chinese restaurants, so I was looking forward to these dishes.
The mango cream shrimp sounded delicious just from its name. The combination of shrimp and creamy mango sauce offered a different flavor from the other dishes, adding variety to the course.
The sweet and sour pork followed, giving us another familiar Chinese favorite to enjoy.
Sometimes, when visiting a Chinese restaurant, we simply order jajangmyeon or jjamppong. With a course meal, however, we could sample several different dishes and enjoy something new with every serving.
Each time a new dish arrived, it brought fresh excitement to the table. Sharing the food and talking with my family made the meal even more enjoyable.
Enjoying the Stir-Fried Pork with Chili Peppers
The next dish was stir-fried pork with chili peppers.
Even after enjoying several dishes, there was still another flavorful dish to look forward to. That is one of the advantages of ordering a course meal: you get to experience a variety of flavors rather than sticking to a single dish.
Sharing small portions with my family also made the meal more fun.
The timing between courses was comfortable, so we never felt rushed or had to wait impatiently for the next dish.
Finishing with Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong, or Fried Rice
After enjoying the main dishes, it was time for the final meal.
The Huo Season Course offered a choice of jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), or fried rice, allowing everyone to choose according to their preferences.
I liked that we could enjoy a variety of dishes throughout the course and still finish with a familiar, satisfying Chinese meal.
By this point, we were already quite full, but the additional meal made the dining experience feel complete.
Dessert was served at the end, bringing the entire course to a pleasant finish.
Two Enjoyable Hours with Attentive Service
One of the things I appreciated most about our visit to Huo Season was the attentive service.
With a course meal, the order and timing of each dish are important. The food arrived in sequence, creating a smooth and comfortable dining experience.
The table never felt overcrowded with dishes, and we could focus on enjoying our food and conversations. The staff were also attentive, which helped make the entire meal more relaxing.
A family gathering is not just about eating delicious food. It is also about spending quality time together, talking, and making memories.
Huo Season was a pleasant choice in that respect, thanks to its convenient parking, varied course menu, and thoughtful service.
We spent about two hours enjoying the Huo Season Course, from the chilled appetizer and seasonal soup to the braised shark fin, mango cream shrimp, sweet and sour pork, stir-fried pork with chili peppers, main meal, and dessert.
The variety of dishes made the meal feel complete, and sharing everything with my family made it even more enjoyable.
If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant in Ilsan for a family gathering, Huo Season is worth considering for its course menu, convenient parking, and comfortable dining experience.
It was a lovely meal filled with good food, plenty of conversation, and two wonderful hours spent together as a family.
